Inferences

"  "Smiths is accusing Oscar of starting the fire, of trying to kill him" Mr Hendricks said, "and Oscar is accusing Smiths" " (62)

We know that Smiths doesn't want to be at the school, we know Oscar is Smiths body guard, we know it is illegal to start someone else on fire, we know Smiths has been known for lying and we know that Smiths doesn't like Oscar.

We can infer with this information that Smiths probablly started the fire to either get away from the school or get Oscar fired and maybe even in jail.

"Luke dug into the mattress and pulled out two identification cards. Fake ones. Or were they?" (71)

We know that there are lots of kids with fake identities in Hendricks school, we know that Smiths is Lee Grant's brother and Luke is pretending to be Lee Grant so we then know that their parents are willing to give up the kids identities and we also know that Smiths didn't seem to know how to act normally.

We can infer with this information that Smiths is possibly and illegal 3rd child too.

Among the barons perdiction

I think that in my book, Among the Barons, Luke the main character who has a secret identity of Lee Grant is going to get discovered along with all of the illegal third children at Hendricks. I think that Oscar will end up discovering that Luke is illegal because him and Smiths (Lees real brother) end up taking a lot at night and Oscar might actually not be sleeping like he is faking to, and maybe even Smiths and his family are working for the government and are waiting for Luke to tell Smiths about the rest of the boys that are illegal and then Oscar will know too, then the police will come and have a mass killing/arrest. The only reason that I don't think that it's just Smiths is because he was known for lying, so maybe it is Oscar who'll turn Luke and his friends in.

The jacket thesis paragraph

The Jacket by Gary Soto is a story where you learn about how you people shouldn't care about what you look like on the outside. In this story, the boy has to get a new jacket and is kind of exited until he saw what he got. It was super ugly and thought everyone was judging him and that is why everything when wrong. "I blame that jacket for those bad days".

Summaries of readings

Flu summary: Fay is a girl who was very sick. She ends up getting better and going back to work. When she gets to work, she talks to Aldo who she falls in love with. This shows you that good can come from bad.

Jacket summary: The Jacket was about a boy who grew out of his coat and had to get a new one. He was exited until he saw what his mom got him. It was a guacamole green coat that everyone judged him for. He felt bad, but he realized that he should be grateful.

Romeo and Juliet perdiction

I think that Romeo and Juliet will die, one because Romeo said that exile is worse than death, so I think that because of that and because he is implosive, he will make a rash decision, so he doesn't have to live without Juliet, instead die. Than I think that Juliet will be super sad because of that and she will decide that if she dies that she can possibly be with Romeo because she loves him so much, so she'll just kill herself.

Romeo and Juliet movies

On the first movie it stuck to almost exactly what happened. I probably liked this one the second best. I liked how you could see what we read. Everyone had masks in this one.

The second one they did a lot of singing and dancing and it was still in more of an older setting, just more singing and dancing. This one is my third favorite. Only some boys had masks in this one.

The third one I liked the best. It was in more of a modern setting and I liked seeing how it would be more now, and seeing the conflict more with the families and with two boys fighting over Juliet. This was a costume party.

The last one was knomeo and Juliet and it was... I just don't know.

@ur_boi_romeo

Romeo is a player, he doesn't want to be alone, but he doesn't know what he wants. He was originally obsessed with Rosaline, and now he is totally over her and into the enemy, Julet. The huge theme that I see is love.

One quote is "Go ask his name-- If he is married, My grave is like my wedding bed."
This is important because it shows us that he loves him so much that if he is married, she would die a non married.

Another quote is "The fearful passage of a death-marked love."
This is important because it shows us that their is going to be love in this story and that people are going to die... kind of important.
